MPI Pittsburgh holds one monthly chapter education program each month of the academic year beginning in August and ending in June. In most cases, the program is held on the first Wednesday of the month.

The full schedule of education programs is posted on the MPI Pittsburgh website along with event details, locations and times, session outcomes and presenter biographies. You can pre-register for each event well in advance to take advantage of the early bird rates or by using the benefits of a pre-purchased Season Pass.

The events business is our livelihood. We have to make money at this or it’s just a hobby. And the only way to make money is to get new clients.

The problem is, most people who are terrific planners and service providers have trouble breathing at the thought of making sales. It’s way out of their comfort zone.

But the good news is, it’s not hard or scary.

Matt Judge is Results Manager at TJC Event Solutions. His event software clients include meetings and conferences, marathons, music festivals, amateur and professional golf events, more than a dozen Final Four basketball tournaments, equestrian events, CVBs and Sports Commissions, four Super Bowls and much more, including both Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

He has figured out a couple of things about selling event services and really likes to let other event professionals in on this.
